Hope, dating effeminate man the point

Thomas Aquinas, who was an immensely influential philosopher and theologian, defines effeminacy as an unwillingness to put aside pleasure in order to pursue what is difficult. Effeminate men are irresponsible men, like baby daddies who choose the pleasure of not taking responsibility for their actions. For any men reading this: If you are effeminate, your wife or girlfriend will never truly respect you. But keep in mind - a man who controls his girlfriend or wife is also effeminate. More on that later. Today, effeminacy is off the charts largely due to the ease and comfort of our modern times.

We have flair for men, women, trans folks, and gender neutral people. Be specific: ask a general question, get a general answer. This is not a debate sub. Attempts to invalidate or argue someone else's response are not permitted.

Opinion you dating effeminate man can

Would you date a really effeminate guy? You posted a bit down what your idea of an effeminate guy was which you summed up as a male version of ourselves and that's what I'm dating now! He likes the same shitty music as me, shows his emotions doesn't cry but speaks his min he admits to anything even if it goes against what other men like ex liking girly shows or somethingwe have the same hobbies, I'd consider him a "pretty" boy and he dresses super nice or as others say, metro.

I couldn't imagine dating anyone else. Life is perfect since we're so similar it's so easy to get along. Hes awesome:. My absolute favourite are guys who are typically a bit masculine beard, chest hair, etc. Or when a usually masculine guy compliments a girl's shoes or makeup. I love that! Yeah, my boyfriend can't really grow body hair but He's basically all you described haha.

He notices new details about our friends whether hairstyles, clothes, tone to their arms etc. Before I do. I'm so unobservant haha. As a competitive powerlifter and fan of death metal, who is really into high-end fashion and watched Gossip Girl to the very end and pretty much cries at least once watching any movie or TV showyou give me hope. One particular show,Gilmore Girls. I just cannot get enough of Lorelei or Rory those girls stole my heart. Haha my boyfriend doesn't wear my clothes since I'm tiny as hell!

I always think he looks nice so I'm sure he could rock them! More power to your SO on wearing them though. That's awesome! Skirts are awesome, I used to have one years ago. Too bad my wife uses skirts that are too short for me, but I steal her pants every now and then.

There's someone out there for everyone so no worries.

Possible dating effeminate man really. join told

Just be patient and you'll find someone:. Probably not. A guy who has effeminate characteristics, sure, but I haven't ever been into purely effeminate guys. I am usually attracted to more traditionally 'masculine' men, but if I liked an effeminate guy or fell for him, I absolutely wouldn't say no.

It's perfectly possible, it just depends on the guy. I feel like Americans have a negative tone toward effeminate men.

Can dating effeminate man are

I don't consider myself effeminate but here in Texas I feel like people always assume I'm gay because of how it's viewed in the States. I can talk sports all day, blast Wu-Tang through my speakers for the world to hear, but as soon as people see me wearing my "Sun Gazing" tank top or talking about how much I love animals I'm considered effeminate.

What a crock. Oh yeah you guys are chill.

Pity, dating effeminate man seems

Most open minded city in Tejas in my opinion. Still, my heart resides in Houston. I'm not afraid to get fouled in the paint though!

Whether I'm wearing a tank top or not lol. Just a guess, but they probably think you're gay because of your mannerisms, not because of anything you're wearing or your love for animals in and of itself.

I live in Houston too and I can tell you that people from here are more used to the manly man persona and if you're anything other than that it can be misinterpreted. Small minded, I know, but that's what happens when you never leave the country and experience other cultures. I don't see many things wrong with whatever definitions of "effeminite" men I can come up with. My boyfriend has many of those qualities he isn't transgender and only cross-dresses at events that call for cross-dressing and doesn't particularly enjoy it though he's very good at it And I love it.

But I'm super into bisexual men so that's part of it. Yeah, these seem super un-objectionable to me and youbut you'd be surprised how much these things are derided among many people. I feel very fortunate to live in a place where, when these sort of things are derided, it's usually a surprise. I'm just saying I'm fine with it, regardless of how it's determined. I have high testosterone, myself.

There's a pretty simple finger length test that's accurate enough, especially considering how insensitive actual hormone tests are.

I'm fine with non-traditional gender presentations, which I'd imagine "effeminate" would fall under. Thats why i ask your own definition, because everyone sees something different in being effeminate. But just imagine a person that would be exactly like you in regards of hobbies, how you talk, how you socialise, what you like and hate and so onbut with a male body. Would you date your male you? Cross culturally speaking that is not true.

There are some superficial cultural trappings that are unique in each time and place. But the core is pretty much unchanged. For more info see "Manhood in the Making". Male me wouldn't be more stereotypically feminine than the typical guy, though.

So could you clarify a bit more - do you mean stereotypically feminine traits emotional, verbal, gentle, nurturingor feminine appearance, or somehow non-stereotypical, "actual" feminine traits but I don't know if there are any, besides the physical ones?

I wouldn't have a problem with my male partner having feminine qualities - whether that meant he cross-dressed, had stereotypically "feminine" mannerisms, or simply enjoyed activities that are stereotypically considered to be more feminine.

Yes, my partner is a man, but I appreciate and love him for his personality and interests, not his gender. I'm fine with it. One of my exes was even more feminine than me and I never had problems with that. A feminine guy would be a guy who likes things that are usually seen as ''feminine''. Personally no. He could have a handful of more feminine qualities and that would be fine but overall effeminate men don't attract me. Are we talking girlish-looking? Because for some reason I find that incredibly attractive.

Are we talking stereotypically female interests like sewing and cooking? Because that's also attractive. If we're talking loves to gossip about random shit for hours, nope, not attractive. I've never used effeminate to describe anything other than looks and possibly even mannerisms.

Effeminacy is an unwillingness to put aside pleasure in order to pursue what is difficult. Effeminate men are irresponsible men, like baby daddies who choose the pleasure of not taking responsibility for their actions. (For any men reading this: If you are effeminate, Author: Lauren Chen. I find feminine men to be more open to trying new things in bed that super masculine dudes might be too insecure about, such as using toys and doing kinky stuff in general. Masculine men tend to be afraid of getting upstaged or seeming gay, whereas feminine guys feel totally okay with putting themselves in compromising positions in bed. I feel like Americans have a negative tone toward effeminate men. I don't consider myself effeminate but here in Texas I feel like people always assume I'm gay because of how it's viewed in the States. I can talk sports all day, blast Wu-Tang through my speakers for the world to hear, but as soon as people see me wearing my "Sun Gazing" tank.

So I am a bi lady, but it seems like the men I am normally attracted to would be considered very feminine. Dont know why, they are just cute and fun to be around! The running joke in our house and friend circle is that my husband is the gayest not meant in a pejorative way heterosexual man that any of us have ever met.

Except for the fact that he's definitely heterosexual, you could take him to any gay bar and they'd just assume that he was a Princess Bear. He has hair in places that I'd never even seen heavy body hair before. The funny thing is that if you met him out in public, you'd think that he was the 'epitome' of manly man- he's big, burly, and can look a bit frightening on first contact. A lot of his mannerisms seem stereotypically 'effeminate' -he squeals like a 10 year old girl if he's startled or gets a foot cramp, he thinks that all pets and children should wear 'pretties', he runs for a bandaid preferably a sparkly one if he gets an owie, cries at commercials and sad movies or happy ones etc.

And while I know that the ability to do household repairs isn't a gendered skill, he certainly does appreciate my ability to wield a hammer. But I don't think of him as effeminate Emotionally and practically we're equals- we balance each other out in most areas, and we're good at working things out when we don't. And he's an incredibly sensitive stepfather, and friend- I think that the fact that he has always been a bit 'different' gives him some credibility with people who feel isolated or hurt for some reason.

He might squeal if he stubs his toe, but give him a family crisis and he steps right up. I'm attracted to men who are more traditionally masculine or have more of a boyish charm, so probably not. However, I have dated guys with a few effeminate qualities- mainly that they were more emotional or romantic than I was.

They cried kind of easily or wrote me sappy love poems. Those qualities in them made me cringe occasionally since that's not really my style, but I also realized it provided some balance for me and it usually meant that they were caring and sensitive to my needs.

So I could date someone who experienced emotions or dealt with things in a more traditionally feminine way. But I wouldn't be attracted to someone who came off as effeminate in their appearance or mannerisms, or who had all stereotypically feminine hobbies like fashion, make-up, hair.

I don't date a "masculine" guy. He doesn't subscribe to acting macho or being ripped. I love him because he's himself and I find him very sexy indeed. I guess define effeminate. I really don't know how do describe a guy as "an effeminate person" as opposed to "having effeminate qualities.

But a guy who might get flak from "manly men" for wearing a pink shirt and putting on moisturizer? Yes, that sounds like a great guy to date based on those 2 qualities, actually. I've never been into super masculine 'manly' men personality-wise. I always seem to fall for guys who are a little effeminate. Whether a guy is manly or effeminate isn't really a deciding factor for whether I'd date a guy, so if everything else about him is agreeable to me, then I'd still date him. And while I have nothing against any one of those things, all of them together would be a little over-the-top.

If, on the other hand, you just mean a guy who's not stereotypically "manly", then yeah, of course. I can be kind of butch. I'm very forceful, driven, don't like frills or extras, all my drama seems to be of the man-cave, shove it inside, walk it off kind. It's still drama, don't get me wrong, just dumb macho drama. As a result of this, I prefer to date guys who are caring, who appreciate nice things, who wear their hearts on their sleeve.

It balances me out, and helps me keep things in perspective. This lead to me making out with a lot of gay guys when I was younger. It was great fun, but I'm glad to have found a straight dude who has these qualities, on top of being an incredible fuck machine.

Depends on your definition of effeminate.

Men With Feminine Energy: Good Lays With Bad Futures

I hate to paint everyone of the same gender with the same brush anyway. If a guy is sweet, compassionate, kind, hardworking and I find him physically attractive and I tend to find a wide variety of men attractivethen I would not care if judgmental people considered him to be traditionally effeminate. Oh I have a great example! I met this man who is a cosmetologist, who removes most of the hair on his body and has a very clear sense of style.

He also juices every morning and is mostly vegan Who knows? He may just be the right guy for you. Liked what you just read?

Some guys like the lines to be blurred. Rather than Tom of Finland extremes in the masculine direction they like going the other way towards more sexual ambiguity.
