The Life of Dr. Amari:

Dr. Rafat Amari, was born in Jordan in 1943 . He comes from an Arab Greek orthodox background. He met the Lord as his personal Savior in 1964 while reading the New Testament in Arabic and while studying medicine in the city of Padua -Italy. He returned back after graduating from the university as a medical doctor and joined the Free Evangelical church in Amman, Jordan. There he married Rima, a fellow Jordanian who returned back from Lancashire, Great Britain, after she had graduated from Capernwray Bible School. In 1982 the family moved to the suburbs of Amman and joined the Baptist church.  There Dr. Amari felt the calling to begin ministering within the Body of Christ, so he began preaching in various Christian evangelical churches of Jordan.

Later on, Dr. Amari was imprisoned in a cell for two days after sharing his faith with Muslims.  He was warned by the secret police that if he was to be caught evangelizing Muslims again, then they would present him to a military court where he will face a long term jail sentence.  Dr. Amari felt he could no longer freely evangelize Muslims in his own country of origin. The Lord put on his heart to emigrate and begin a major evangelistic effort towards Muslims from an outside country. In 1989 Dr. Amari, his wife, and five children immigrated to the USA.  From there he continued to travel to different countries, especially in the Muslim world, where he conducted prayer conferences and trained coordinators to do prayer and evangelistic home meetings to evangelize Muslims.

In 1986 Dr. Amari founded The Continuous Flame,  a Christian international, non-denominational prayer and evangelistic ministry. The CF organizes prayer conferences in  many countries of the world to pray for revival to happen in various countries and to open restricted countries to the Gospel. The Continuous Flame evangelistic ministry focuses on training  Christians on how to evangelize their co-citizens, especially those belonging to other faiths such as Islam.

While living in Jordan, Dr. Amari felt the Lord’s call to begin to deeply study Islam so as to be able to refute it. Dr. Amari obtained a great and scholarly knowledge of Islam, after twenty- five years of in-depth study covering the religions of the East at the time of Mohammed, and revealing the origins of the Quranic verses, which come from various sects and religions, whom Mohammed regularly contacted their representatives in Arabia. This intense study gave birth to the Religion Research Institute, a scholarly and apologetic ministry which helps Christians in refuting Islam and knowing better how to evangelize Muslims. The RRI radio broadcast currently refutes Islam and shares the Word of God throughout 18 AM stations, covering 18 different States in the USA.

Dr. Amari is also a weekly guest in “Religion and History,” a show to the Middle East presented by Al Hayat TV, a Christian TV satellite channel.  “Religion and History” explains the historical mistakes of the Quran. At the end of the show Dr. Amari dedicates five minutes to explain a prophecy about Christ in the Old Testament and its fulfillment in the New Testament. Dr. Amari is often a guest in a live show on the same TV channel. The show is called “Daring Question,” According to statistics, this program is the most viewed program in the Middle East, more than 50 millions view the program weekly. The program draws thousands of phone calls weekly. Many Muslims inquire about how to be saved every week. Dr. Amari is the scholar and researcher on the Al-Hayat TV, who covers the subject of history and compares the origins and similarities of the Quran to other religions in history.

Dr. Amari is an author of many books in Arabic. His recent book in English is titled “Islam in Light of History,” a scholarly work which helps educated Muslims to see the unhistorical claims of Mohammed regarding Mecca and Ishmael. Muslims believe that the temple of Mecca was built by Abraham and Ishmael.  They also claim that Abraham lived at Mecca and established a monotheistic religion there, which later spread into all of Arabia, and that the Islam is founded on that alleged religion. Dr. Amari uses historical and archeological proofs to demonstrate that these claims are false. The book also mentions the historical mistakes of the Qur’an, in addition to revealing the origin resources of many Quranic verses from Zoroastrianism, Mandaeanism, Manichaeism, Gnosticism, Judaism, heretical Christianism, and Arabian mythology.
